The Great Lakes Peace Institute (GLPI) is a regional think tank dedicated to research, knowledge production, and capacity building aimed at promoting responsible natural resource governance, environmental protection, climate resilience, and inclusive peacebuilding in the Great Lakes Region.
Through research, policy dialogue, and strategic partnerships, GLPI works to strengthen peace, environmental sustainability, gender-responsive governance, and inclusive development — empowering institutions and communities to manage natural resources responsibly and respond effectively to climate and environmental challenges.

GLPI is governed by a Board of Directors and led by an Executive Director, supported by a multidisciplinary management team across programs, research, finance, communications, and monitoring & evaluation.
